We use self-assembly and dynamic covalent chemistry to gain access to ordered materials, with a particular focus on covalent organic frameworks (COFs) and metal-organic frameworks (MOFs). Of special interest is the control of intermolecular interactions to realize materials with high long-range order and stability. We tailor these materials for various applications in the field of energy and environment.
Research
Chiral materialsWe develop chiral covalent organic frameworks from achiral building blocks and explore their structure, properties, and catalytic potential
|
Extended aromatic systemsWe develop synthetic strategies for vinylene-based and other π-extended COFs, targeting applications such as photocatalysis
|
Adsorption and separationWe synthesize COF and MOF materials with controlled particle size for separation applications
